Mes de Noviembre: Celebrando el Aprendizaje y Dando Gracias

El mes de noviembre, mes enfocado en la gratitud, va avanzando y nos sentimos contentos y agradecidos de fortalecer nuestros lazos como comunidad, creando un ambiente de respeto y apoyo mutuo. A todas las familias un abrazo lleno de gratitud por las bellas decoraciones de Navidad. Nuestro colegio está lleno de colores, magia y luz. Gracias!!!

Nuestros estudiantes han venido desarrollando las habilidades útiles para la vida y el mundo, que se han planteado en cada una de las asignaturas. Durante este mes, hemos tenido varias actividades, entre la cuáles nos gustaría mencionar las siguientes:

Modelo de Naciones Unidas MiniMUN. En este modelo participaron los estudiantes de 6to y 7mo Grado, liderado por estudiantes de 10mo y 11mo Grado. Estos modelos fomentan habilidades significativas como la cooperación, el liderazgo, la resolución de conflictos y la comunicación efectiva, preparando a los estudiantes para ser ciudadanos globales comprometidos, que tienen en cuenta las necesidades propias, de los demás y el contexto.

Green Apple Day of Service. El pasado viernes, los estudiantes de Prejardín a 4to Grado participaron en diferentes actividades encaminadas a promover el cuidado del planeta, la conciencia ecológica y el compromiso con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible.

Siembra de Árboles. El sábado 16 de noviembre, varios estudiantes de Bachillerato Alto acompañados de sus papás, profesores y directivos, sembraron 1,000 árboles, buscando proteger la reserva natural de Tiquiza. Agradecemos al ex-ministro de Ambiente, Ricardo Lozano, quien nos acompañó. El ex-ministro quedó muy contento de ver todos los esfuerzos del colegio y envió un saludo a toda la comunidad, animándonos a seguir cultivando una relación de cuidado y protección de la naturaleza.

Integración Escuela Media. Una felicitación especial a las familias de Escuela Media, a las representantes de 5to, 6to y 7mo Grado, y a Alejandro Patiño, Director de Nivel, por la bella integración del día sábado. ¡Qué especial disfrutar un día en comunidad!

Estamos ya listos para dar inicio a la Navidad, con nuestro Christmas Concert: Respect, Optimism & Gratitude y Noche de Velitas, el martes 26 de noviembre, a las 5:00 pm. ¡Los esperamos a todos para juntos apoyar a nuestros artistas y maestros, encender las velitas, símbolo de luz y gratitud, dando gracias por lo que hemos recibido durante el año! #RochesterGivesThanks

The month of November, focused on gratitude, is moving along, and we feel happy and grateful to strengthen our bonds as a community, creating an environment of respect and mutual support. To all families, a heartfelt embrace filled with gratitude for the beautiful Christmas decorations. Our school is now filled with colors, magic, and light. Thank you so much!

Our students have been developing life- and world-relevant skills in each of their subjects. During this month, we have carried out several activities, including the following:

MiniMUN Model United Nations. Students from 7th and 8th Grades participated in this event, led by 11th and 12th Grade students. These models foster significant skills such as cooperation, leadership, conflict resolution, and effective communication, preparing students to be committed global citizens who consider their own needs, the needs of others, and the broader context.

Green Apple Day of Service. Last Friday, students from Pre-Kindergarten to 4th Grade engaged in various activities aimed at promoting planet care, ecological awareness, and a commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Tree Planting. On Saturday, November 16th, several High School students, accompanied by their parents, teachers, and school leaders, planted 1,000 trees to protect the Tiquiza nature reserve. We thank former Minister of Environment Ricardo Lozano for joining us. He was very pleased to see all the school’s efforts and sent his regards to the entire community, encouraging us to continue cultivating a relationship of care and protection for nature.
Middle School Integration. A special congratulations to the Middle School families, the representatives of 5th, 6th, and 7th Grades, and Alejandro Patiño, Middle School Director, for the wonderful integration event held on Saturday. How special it is to enjoy a day as a community!

We are now ready to welcome the Christmas season with our Christmas Concert: Respect, Optimism & Gratitude, and Candles’ Night on Tuesday, November 26th, at 5:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you all there as we come together to support our artists and teachers, light the candles—a symbol of light and gratitude—and give thanks for everything we have received throughout the year! #RochesterGivesThanks
