Culminando Actividades del mes de Abril

Queridas Familias Rochesterianas:

Reciban un saludo especial, esperando se encuentren bien.

En este cierre de mes, confiamos nuestras vidas y nuestro camino a Dios, dándole gracias por todas las bendiciones que recibimos día a día. Elevamos también nuestras oraciones por las familias de nuestra comunidad que viven momentos difíciles, para que sientan su consuelo, su fuerza y su amor infinito.

Queremos agradecer a los Padres de Familia que ya han diligenciado el proceso de pre-matrícula en ALMA. Invitamos a quienes aún no lo han realizado, a seguir las instrucciones del documento adjunto.

Por otra parte, queremos celebrar con ustedes la participación de nuestros estudiantes en múltiples actividades que reflejan su crecimiento y compromiso en los ámbitos deportivo, artístico y académico. ¡Cada logro y experiencia es motivo de orgullo y alegría para toda nuestra comunidad!

Ámbito Deportivo. Este fin de semana, el Equipo de Alto Desempeño de Natación del Club Deportivo Rochester participó en la Copa La Amistad, en Girardot, evento clasificatorio para el Campeonato Nacional Inter ligas 2025 en Ibagué. ¡Felicitamos a nuestros nadadores por su dedicación y logros!

Ámbito Artístico. Nuestros talentosos estudiantes han estado dejando en alto el nombre del Colegio Rochester en importantes eventos de UNCOLI: 
– Microformatos de Danza y Teatro en el Colegio Marymount. Jueves, 24 de abril. Dance Team, Iniciación Dance Team y cuatro actrices de Teatro EAD.
– Festival de Música Bachillerato en el Colegio Santa María. Martes, 29 de abril. Estudiantes de 5º a 11º Grado de la Orquesta EAD.
– Festival de Artes Visuales Bachillerato en el Colegio Marymount. Lunes, 28 de abril al sábado, 10 de mayo. Estudiantes de 5º a 11º Grado de la asignatura de Artes Visuales.

Además, los invitamos a acompañarnos este miércoles 30 de abril, a las 5:00 p.m., en ENCORE, la presentación final del Programa de Música Extracurricular, donde brillarán la Orquesta de Iniciación Orff, la Orquesta Junior, la Orquesta EAD y Rochi Fusión. ¡Será una celebración llena de talento y alegría que no se pueden perder, donde se demuestra que la música es el lenguaje del alma!

Ámbito Académico. Con gran orgullo, felicitamos a nuestros estudiantes de 11º grado de la asignatura AP Research, quienes esta semana culminaron con éxito la presentación de sus proyectos finales ante un panel evaluador, siguiendo el formato establecido por College Board. A través de sus exposiciones y defensas orales, demostraron un nivel sobresaliente de análisis, profundidad, comunicación efectiva y rigor académico. Asimismo, en cumplimiento de los requisitos de graduación, nuestros estudiantes han presentado los exámenes DELF y/o CELPE-BRAS, de acuerdo con el tercer idioma escogido, certificando así su nivel de competencia lingüística en esta tercera lengua. ¡Un paso más hacia su proyección internacional y académica!

Seguimos construyendo un proyecto que entiende al estudiante como un ser integral, fortaleciendo su formación académica, ética, emocional, deportiva, artística y social, enmarcada en los valores que guían nuestra comunidad educativa. Gracias, queridas familias, por apoyar cada una de estas actividades e iniciativas y por acompañar a nuestros estudiantes con amor, entusiasmo y compromiso en cada paso de su crecimiento.

Dear Rochesterian Families,

Receive a warm greeting, hoping this message finds you well.

As we come to the end of the month, we entrust our lives and our journey to God, giving thanks for the many blessings we receive each day. We also lift up our prayers for the families in our community who are going through difficult times, so that they may feel His comfort, strength, and infinite love.

We would like to thank the parents who have already completed the pre-enrollment process in ALMA. We invite those who have not yet done so to follow the instructions provided in the attached document.
On another note, we would like to celebrate with you the participation of our students in various activities that reflect their growth and commitment in the sports, artistic, and academic fields. Every achievement and experience is a source of pride and joy for our entire community!

Sports Field. This weekend, the Rochester Sports Club High-Performance Swimming Team participated in the “Copa La Amistad” in Girardot, a qualifying event for the 2025 National Interleague Championship in Ibagué. We congratulate our swimmers for their dedication and achievements!

Artistic Field. Our talented students have been proudly representing Rochester School at important UNCOLI events:
• Microformats of Dance and Theater at Marymount School – Thursday, April 24. Dance Team, Initiation Dance Team, and four actresses from EAD Theater.
• High School Music Festival at Santa María School – Tuesday, April 29. Students from Grades 6 to 12 from the EAD Orchestra.
• High School Visual Arts Festival at Marymount School – Monday, April 28 to Saturday, May 10. Students from Grades 6 to 12 from the Visual Arts course.

In addition, we invite you to join us this Wednesday, April 30, at 5:00 p.m., for ENCORE, the final performance of the Extracurricular Music Program, where the Orff Initiation Orchestra, Junior Orchestra, EAD Orchestra, and Rochi Fusión will shine. It will be a celebration full of talent and joy that you won’t want to miss — a beautiful demonstration that music is truly the language of the soul!

Academic Field. We are very proud to congratulate our 12th-grade AP Research students, who this week successfully completed the presentation of their final projects before an evaluation panel, following the College Board’s established format. Through their presentations and oral defenses, they demonstrated an outstanding level of analysis, depth, effective communication, and academic rigor.

Furthermore, in fulfillment of their graduation requirements, our seniors have taken the DELF and/or CELPE-BRAS exams, according to the third language they chose, thus certifying their proficiency in a third language. This is another important step toward their international and academic projection!

We continue to build a project that sees each student as an integral human being, strengthening their academic, ethical, emotional, athletic, artistic, and social development, all framed by the values that guide our educational community. Thank you, dear families, for supporting each of these activities and initiatives and for accompanying our students with love, enthusiasm, and commitment at every step of their growth.
