El bienestar y la salud de sus hijos (as) es nuestra prioridad y\u00a0 por ello, nos unimos como comunidad para promover la salud integral de todos los estudiantes.

Hemos visto un incremento en el n\u00famero de incidentes debidos a la\u00a0Falta Grave No.4\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>de nuestro Manual de Convivencia, la cual est\u00e1 relacionada con el uso de vapeadores por parte de estudiantes de Escuela Media y Bachillerato Alto. Debido a esto, en el \u00faltimo mes, todos los estudiantes de 6\u00ba a 11\u00ba Grado, tuvieron una charla con una especialista de RedPapaz en el tema de sustancias psicoactivas. La segunda fase de esta charla, consiste en iniciar una campa\u00f1a llamada\u00a0#NoFumo#NoVapeo<\/strong>, tanto en sus casas como al interior de nuestras instalaciones.

Es de vital importancia entender que los vapeadores no son inofensivos. Aunque a menudo se presentan como una alternativa \u201cmenos da\u00f1ina\u201d, pueden causar graves problemas de salud, afectando los pulmones, el cerebro y el desarrollo f\u00edsico y emocional de sus hijos (as).

\u00bfQu\u00e9 podemos hacer desde casa para ayudar con esta campa\u00f1a?

<\/em>–<\/strong>Hablar sobre el tema<\/strong>. Tener conversaciones abiertas con sus hijos (as) sobre los peligros del vapeo y otros h\u00e1bitos de riesgo. Recordemos siempre escuchar de manera emp\u00e1tica evitando los juicios y estando dispuestos a tener una conversaci\u00f3n honesta y abierta sobre esta tem\u00e1tica. Algunas preguntas que pueden orientar la conversaci\u00f3n son las siguientes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-\u00bfHas escuchado hablar del vapeo en el colegio o entre tus amigos? \u00bfQu\u00e9 piensas sobre eso?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-\u00bfSabes qu\u00e9 sustancias se usan en los vapeadores y c\u00f3mo afectan el cuerpo?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-\u00bfSab\u00edas que el vapeo puede afectar los pulmones, el coraz\u00f3n y el cerebro, especialmente en personas j\u00f3venes? \u00bfQu\u00e9 piensas sobre eso?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-\u00bfQu\u00e9 crees que le pasar\u00eda a tu cuerpo si empezaras a usar vapeadores de forma regular?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-\u00bfQu\u00e9 piensas qu\u00e9 har\u00edas si alg\u00fan compa\u00f1ero de clase te ofrece un vapeador? \u00bfC\u00f3mo te comportar\u00edas?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-\u00bfQu\u00e9 elementos tienes en cuenta cu\u00e1ndo tomas decisiones sobre tu salud?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Dar ejemplo y ser modelo de lo que queremos ver<\/strong>. Si somos conscientes de los peligros y nos mostramos firmes en nuestras decisiones, sus hijos (as) estar\u00e1n m\u00e1s inclinados a seguir su ejemplo.

Es importante recordar que la venta y distribuci\u00f3n de sustancias psicoactivas, como vapeadores, es considerada una falta especialmente grave.\u00a0

<\/strong>La participaci\u00f3n de ustedes como padres de familia es fundamental, para que entre todos, modelemos un ambiente seguro y saludable para nuestros estudiantes.

<\/em>The health and well-being of your children are our top priority, and we come together as a community to promote the overall health of all students.<\/em>
<\/em>
<\/em>We have observed an increase in incidents related to Major Form of Disrespect No. 4 from our Code of Ethics, which pertains to the use of vapes by students in Middle and High School. Due to this, over the past month, all students in Grades 7 through 12 attended a talk led by a RedPapaz specialist on the topic of psychoactive substances. The second phase of this talk involves launching a campaign called\u00a0<\/em>#NoFumo#NoVapeo<\/em><\/strong>, both in your homes and within our facilities.

<\/em>It is crucial to understand that vapes are not harmless. Though they are often marketed as a “less harmful” alternative, they can cause serious health problems, affecting your children\u2019s lungs, brain, and physical and emotional development.

<\/em>How can we support this campaign from home?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Talk about it.<\/strong>\u00a0Have open conversations with your children about the dangers of vaping and other risky behaviors. Always listen empathetically, avoiding judgment, and be prepared to have an honest, open discussion about this topic. Here are some questions to guide the conversation:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Have you heard about vaping at school or among your friends? What do you think about it?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Do you know what substances are used in vapes and how they affect the body?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Did you know vaping can harm the lungs, heart, and brain, especially in young people? What do you think about that?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–What do you think would happen to your body if you started using vapes regularly?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–What would you do if a classmate offered you a vape? How would you respond?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–What factors do you consider when making decisions about your health?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Lead by example and be a role model for what we want to see.<\/strong>\u00a0If we are aware of the dangers and remain firm in our decisions, your children will be more inclined to follow your lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important to remember that the sale and distribution of psychoactive substances, including vapes, is considered a <\/em>specially major form of disrespect<\/em><\/strong>.

<\/em>Your involvement as parents is essential so that together, we can create a safe and healthy environment for our students.<\/em>
